There are many shrines and places of pilgrimage in Uttaranchal, also known as Dev Bhumi. This area is truly the spiritual heartland of India. Whether it was Beatles or Steve Jobs of Apple, they alle came here to seek the spiritual solace. Some of the holiest shrines in Uttaranchal are located at the source of the Yamuna and Ganga rivers. The other two famous holy and pilgrimage shrines in Uttaranchal are Haridwar and Rishikesh. This is also the land where Vedas, Shastras and the great Indian epic Mahabharata were composed. For nature lovers and seekers of peace and spirituality, it has always been a source of inspiration.

Arrive Delhi by International flight . Meeting and assist at the International Airport and transfer to hotel.

Morning proceed for Delhi City sightseeing. visit the 7th city of Delhi, Shahjahanabad (Old Delhi), built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (1639-48 AD) after he shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi. Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque) made of red sandstone and white marble, completed in 1656. It is India’s largest mosque where more than 20.000 people can kneel in prayer. Visit Raj Ghat on the banks of the river Yamuna, Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial, where he was cremated following his assassination in January 1948. An eternal flame burns 24 hours.
Also visit New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar – the landmark of Delhi, a huge tower of victory started in 1199 and completed in 1368. The minar is 72.5m high with a diameter at the base 14.4m and 2.7m at the top. Drive past to the Rashtrapati Bhawan once the Viceroy’s residence is now the official residence of the President of India. Designed by Lutyens, it combines western and eastern styles – the dome reflects the Buddhist stupa, the chattris Hindu and the graceful colonnades very British. The Government Buildings designed by Baker, are topped by baroque domes and decorated with lotus motifs and elephants, while the north and south gateways are Mughal in design. The northern building has an inscription with “Liberty will not descend to a people; a people must raise themselves to liberty. It is a blessing which must be earned before it can be enjoyed”. The Parliament House, designed by Baker is 173m in diameter. The India Gate (42m), commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war. 13516 names of British and Indian soldiers killed in the Afghan War of 1919 are engraved on the arch and foundations. Under the arch, the Amar Jawan Jyoti commemorating Indian armed forces’ losses in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971.

After breakfast you head for Nainital - commonly known as India's Lake District. On arrival we will have some free time for relaxation and exploration of the area.
Today we experience the panoramic view of the mighty Himalayas from the Snow View Point by cable car. Followed by visiting Hanumangarhi Temple - one of the most popular temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Chidiyaghar Zoo - a high altitude zoo located in Nainital.
Karnaprayag is also known as ‘The City of Karna of Mahabharata’. According to the famous Hindu mythology, Karnaprayag is the place where the mighty Karna, son of Pawan Dev and Kunti, went to repent. Satisfied with his utmost devotion and worship, the Sun God appeared before Karna and blessed him with two protective devices called Kavacha (a suit of armor) and Kundala (earrings), which possessed superficial powers. Karnaprayag is the place where Lord Krishna cremated Karna, according to some legends.
Located at the confluence of the Alaknanda River and the Pindari River, Karnaprayag is one of the Panch Prayag or the 'five confluences' of the Alaknanda River. This holy town is situated at an average altitude of 1,451 meters above sea level.
After visiting the ancient Uma Devi Temple we proceed to Rudraprayag.
The famous city of Rudraprayag is named after the avatar of Lord Shiva, Rudra. It is surrounded by emerald lakes, glaciers, foaming rivers and silver streams.
Located at the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, 34 km from Srinagar (Garhwal), Rudraprayag is a pristine town. It is situated about 2,936 feet above sea level at an average altitude of 895 metres.
Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag or the five confluences of the Alaknanda River. Rudraprayag is blessed with the bounty of nature, the climate of which is dependent on the altitude of the region.
Rudraprayag is a revered religious destination. Most of the places of interest in Rudraprayag have religious connotations. In and around Rudraprayag, there are various temples and shrines to visit.
Koteshwar Mahadev and Dhari Devi are famous Hindu shrines in Rudraprayag. They are visited by tourists and pilgrims alike. The revered Kedarnath shrine is about 80 km from Rudraprayag.
Chopta is located at 64 km from Rudraprayag.
Proceed to Rishikesh after breakfast. The rest of the day in Rishikesh if free at you leisure to get acquainted with the holy atmosphere of the city. You will feel, the spirituality is in the air.
Daily Routine on day 8 and 9
Day 10 full day visit of Haridwar
In the early morning from 06:00 to 08:30, there will be yoga classes. During the yoga session you will be taught various yoga exercises and asanas. After freshening up and a short break, it is time to enjoy a vegetarian breakfast. After breakfast you are advised to have a rest.
In the afternoon after lunch from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm you will be given Ayurveda treatments. During the Ayurveda session you will be treated as per your treatment plan suggested by the Ayurveda doctor according to your body type. You will be offered various treatments such as oil therapy, steam and herbal treatments.
In the evening there will be a lecture by our Ayurveda and Yoga experts. The topic will be related to the practice of Ayurveda or Yoga in daily life.
The day will come to a close with the holy Ganga Aarti.
After breakfast drive to Haridwar. This is considered to be one of the 7 holiest places in India. It is also one of the places where the drops of the elixir of life gushing from the 'Samudra Manthan' are found. In the evening we experience the enchanting Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.
After Ganga Aarti we will return to our Ashram in Rishikesh for night stay.
During this one week stay we will organise visits to ashrams, spiritual masters and places of strong energy. Such programmes are spontaneous. They cannot be announced in advance.
After breakfast drive to Delhi to connect your flight back home.
