Around the eight-sided foundation of the Stupa, there are 108 depictions of Buddha, where Buddhist Lamas have been performing prayer ceremonies for over 2000 years. Next, you will travel to Pashupatinath, the most significant Hindu pilgrimage site in Nepal, located on the banks of the Bagmati river. The Pashupatinath temple is devoted to the god Shiva.

These are some of the most popular attractions in Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is an example of cultural preservation today. People here still follow traditions that are centuries-old, worship in typical Nepali temples, and protect Nepal's ancient architectural heritage. Despite the terrible earthquake, numerous temples have been reconstructed, and there is still plenty to explore and admire in Bhaktapur.
