01
Day 1: International flight to Lhasa
Upon arrival in Lhasa, you can either travel via the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, which is located 62 km/39 miles away from the city and approximately an hour's journey by car to reach the hotel. On the way, you can admire the picturesque views of the mountains. A short transfer is all that is required from the station to reach the hotel.
You may have free time depending on your arrival time to explore the city of Lhasa. Our guides are available to suggest activities for your stay in Lhasa. Keep in mind that Lhasa is situated 3,650 meters/ 12,000 ft above sea level and some time is needed to acclimate.
Following your hotel check-in, explore the city, visit nearby temples, indulge in shopping and enjoy the delights of Tibetan cuisine at local eateries or simply relax.
Our guides are available to suggest activities for your stay in Lhasa. A visit to Barkhor Street is a great way to start your exploration of Lhasa. Join the groups of devotees, locals, and monks as they walk in circles around the Jokhang Temple.
IMPORTANT:
For those new to Tibet, it's important to acclimate to the high altitude. A good night's sleep in your hotel is a good option. Avoid rushing to visit attractions in Lhasa city.

02
Day 02: Lhasa City Tour by walking
This trip takes you to two key places of worship in Tibet.
The Potala Palace has traditionally served as the residence of the Dalai Lamas since the 17th century. We'll enter and stay there for about 1.5 - 2 hours. During the visit, you'll get a chance to view many of its renowned objects.
Following the Potala Palace tour, you'll have an opportunity to enjoy a free lunch.
If there's sufficient time, you can take a stroll around the Potala Palace and interact with some of the local Tibetans.
Next, we'll head to Jokhang Temple, built in the 7th century to showcase the Jowo Shakyamuni Statue – depicting the 12-year-old Buddha prior to his enlightenment. The statue was crafted during the time of the historical Buddha and is richly adorned with gold, gems, and precious stones.
We suggest taking a stroll around Barkhor Street after visiting the temple.
You'll stay overnight in the hotel.

03
Day 03: Lhasa City Tour part 2
After breakfast in the morning, we’re touring the two top monasteries located in the capital city.
First, we'll visit Drepung Monastery, which was the biggest monastery globally, where more than 10,000 monks lived in the past. Before the construction of the Potala Palace, it was a home for Dalai Lamas.
After the Drepung Monastery, we'll have time to eat lunch freely.
Then, in the afternoon, we'll go to Sera Monastery, established by Tsongkhapa's student in the fifteenth century. Currently, monks partake in renowned debates that can be observed. These debates significantly aid in comprehending and learning about Buddhism. Monks gather outdoors in the courtyard, beneath tree cover, to enhance their knowledge.
In the evening, there will be ample time to prepare for our trek, including packing and organizing any necessary items. Kathmandu for overnight stay.

Day 04: Lhasa-Yamdrok Lake-Lhasa
After breakfast we will be driving from Lhasa to Yamdrok Lake. During the journey, we will pass over Gampala Pass (4790m) and get a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso Lake (4400m). The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and from a distance, tourists have a spectacular view of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar (7191m), the highest mountain near Lhasa.
Our next stop is at the lake shore, where we will take a leisurely walk before returning to Lhasa for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Flight back home or next destination from Lhasa
Morning breakfast at the hotel.
Our representative will be at your hotel to help you leave, making sure the process is easy and trouble-free. Remember, it's advisable to reach the airport three hours in advance of your flight's scheduled departure time to complete all necessary check-ins and security procedures.
