Day 1: International flight to Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meeting and assistance upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 2: Delhi-Jaipur
BOARDING THE TRAIN:
In the evening transfer to the Safdarjung railway station in Delhi by 8.30 pm for the traditional welcome and to complete the registration formalities and our representative will escort you to your respective cabin on the Maharajas' Express. A welcome drink will be on offer on arrival. The train departs for its next destination, Jaipur, at around 2200 hrs. On board the Maharaja's Express train, enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Jaipur
The Maharajas' Express arrives in the "Pink City" of Jaipur in the morning on the second day of the tour. After breakfast, you will disembark and set off on an exciting tour of Jaipur. Visit the exciting Elephant Polo Exhibition for a unique and thrilling experience. This is followed by a champagne lunch at the Jai Mahal Palace Hotel. Lunch is followed by a visit to the majestic Amer Fort. Amer Fort is built on the back of a captured elephant. Later in the day, you can take an optional local sightseeing tour to the City Palace complex and the Royal Observatory or enjoy shopping for souvenirs at Jaipur's local and exotic markets. You can also choose to indulge in a rejuvenating spa session or play a round of golf.

Day 4: Ranthambore – Fatehpur Sikri
The super-luxury train arrives at Sawai Madhopur early in the morning. Shortly after arrival, alight from the train for a jungle safari in Ramthambore National Park, where you are most likely to see the elusive tiger in its natural habitat. After enjoying breakfast at the Vivanta by Taj, you will return to the train. The next stop on the Maharajas' Express itinerary is Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Fatehpur Sikri. The Jama Masjid, the Buland Darwaza and the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti are among the major tourist attractions. Later, return for dinner and overnight stay in the comfort of the Maharajas Express.

Day 5: Agra
Arrive in Agra the next morning on the Maharajas' Express train. Home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city is famous throughout the world. After disembarking from the train, proceed to visit the Taj Mahal, the epitome of love for its alluring design and architecture. This is followed by a champagne breakfast at the Taj Khema. After breakfast, return to the train. The journey continues to Gwalior. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Usha Kiran Palace. Visit the Jai Vilas Palace Museum and Gwalior Fort later in the day. Enjoy high tea at the Jai Vilas Palace grounds in the evening. Return to the train. Relax and enjoy the comfort of the train.

Day 6: Orcha-Khajuraho
The train travels to Khajuraho while guests enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and lunch on the 6th day of the tour. This town attracts visitors from all over the world for the exotic sculptures and figurines that adorn the walls of the Khajuraho temple complex. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit both the eastern and the western group of the temples at Khajuraho. Enjoy the spa facilities at a 5-star hotel after visiting the temples.

Day 7: Varanasi
Arrive in Varanasi on the 7th day. Varanasi is one of the seven holiest cities in the world. Disembark from the train for a visit to Sarnath, which is famous for its Buddhist connection. While you are in this place, explore the stupas and the places where Lord Buddha used to meditate. After lunch, proceed to visit the Varanasi Silk Centre. Enjoy a boat cruise on the holy Ganges River later in the day. In the evening, enjoy the auspicious aarti on the ghats of the Ganga. The chanting of Sanskrit mantras, the scent of flowers, the sound of cymbals and drums, and the blazing camphor lamp create a magical setting.
Return to the train to dine and stay overnight.

Day 8: Delhi
Today, the Maharajas Express returns to Delhi, bringing the tour to an end after completing the full circle of the Indian panorama. After breakfast on board, guests will deboard the train at Safdarjung station at around 08:30.
Later transfer to the airport to connect the flight back home.
