You will also explore the temple of the living goddess Kumari. Next, you will visit Swayambhunath, which is noted for the Buddha's eyes that appear to observe the world from all directions. Finally, a trip to Bodnath, the largest stupa in Nepal, will conclude your tour. Around the eight-sided foundation of the Stupa, there are 108 depictions of Buddha, where Buddhist Lamas have been performing prayer ceremonies for over 2000 years. Next, you will travel to Pashupatinath, the most significant Hindu pilgrimage site in Nepal, located on the banks of the Bagmati river. The Pashupatinath temple is devoted to the god Shiva.

Day 03: Kathmandu-Bhaktapur-Kathmandu
After breakfast in the morning, we will go to Changu Narayan Temple. It is the oldest temple in Nepal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We can explore the ancient Hindu temple and its museum, providing insights into its history. Following that, we will drive to Bhaktapur which is just 6 kilometers away. Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgoan, is our next location. Upon arrival, we will go on a tour of Bhaktapur's sights, such as Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square. These are some of the most popular attractions in Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is an example of cultural preservation today. People here still follow traditions that are centuries-old, worship in typical Nepali temples, and protect Nepal's ancient architectural heritage. Despite the terrible earthquake, numerous temples have been reconstructed, and there is still plenty to explore and admire in Bhaktapur.

Day 04: Fly to Lukla (2,804m) and trek to Phakding (2,610m) 4-5 hours.
Today your guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and take you to the airport for your flight to Lukla. This flight will last about 40 minutes and provide a preview of what’s to come as you descend into Lukla’s Tenzing-Hilary Airport. Viewing the mountains while flying over them will give you an understanding of the enormity of the Himalayan snow-capped peaks. A porter will be present to assist with your baggage. Our adventure commences as we set off on the path towards Phakding Village. Initially, we pass a Kani – an ornamental fortification – then embark on a relatively easy three-hour trek. Soon, we encounter a steep slope that leads us to a trail located above Kyangma Village and parallel to it. The most prominent landmarks in Kyangma are its sizeable monastery (called a Gompa in Tibetan) and its educational institution. We leave here and go to Cheplung Village. We walk down through the forest and see the Dudh Koshi River for the first time. We cross the suspension bridge, which is common on these rivers, and climb over the ridge until we reach Ghat Village. Along the way we see Mani walls (stones with six-syllable mantras carved into them), chortens (stones with square shapes and dome-shaped tops), and prayer wheels, which are all symbols of Tibetan Buddhists. We need to ascend to the tiny Chhuthawa village and then proceed to Phakding Village where we will spend the night at a lodge.
